Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKIRIAKI (YIAYIA) GAVRIILIDOU 1931 - 2015 Yiayia passed away suddenly in Okanagan, BC on February 5, 2015 at the age of 84 years. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Christo, two brothers and a nephew. Yiayia is lovingly remembered by her son Savvas (Connie) Gavriilidis, daughter Simela (Savaas) Makridis, grandchildren Maria and Peter and great-grandchildren Madelyn, Tristen and Alex. She is also survived by her twin sister, two brothers and many nieces and nephews. Yiayia came to Canada in 1972 and it was always her dream to go back to Greece. Services will be held at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2255 Grant Avenue. Prayers will take place Wednesday, February 18 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service; Thursday, February 19 at 11:00 a.m. at the same location with interment to follow. Rev Fr. Konstantinos Tsiolas officiating.
