Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • Our heartfelt condolences to Sylvia and all of the family. We will miss Dennis, his laughter, love of family, fishing, sports, landscaping and hospitality. He spoke highly, lovingly, and proudly of his family. He was a good friend to my brother Mel and his wife Pat. We shared many memories from the times when I hung out at his house while growing up to enjoying our family visits when we stopped in Winnipeg. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family and we ask the Lord to be your comfort and strength in this season of sorrow. - Posted by: John & Dianne (Timko) Green (Cousin) on: Feb 16, 2015

Sylvia, I have found you and Dennis to be very genuine and reputable, authentic people. I miss you, Sylvia! I miss Dennis a lot, also! I remember the times we got together, had supper and then played cards. Elle, I am thinking of you also! Thinking of you all with warm and loving thoughts. • Dad you left too early I selfishly wanted more time. I miss you so much. I miss your words of wisdom, I miss your smile, I miss seeing, I just miss you. It has been a week since I sat by your side with your hand in mine. Saying good-bye was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I wish I could rewind time there is still so much I wanted to tell you and more hugs to give. Today we celebrated your life with family and friends, I think you would have liked it. I really did not feel like celebrating I just want you back. I will carry your memories forever in my heart. I love you dad. Until we meet again. - Posted by: Colleen Small (Daughter) on: Feb 15, 2015

  • Going back to school days, Dennis was a neighbor 1 mile away, more than once crossed the fields from home to his place on 7th Ave. Roomed with him when we first moved to Winnipeg, from Wpg. Beach. Was a member of his wedding party. A kinder, and generous person you will ever find. Rest in peace my good friend, and until we meet again. - Posted by: Charles Pawulski (Friend) on: Feb 15, 2015

  • I met Dennis Last summer at his 75 birthday party. He was a kind, quiet man, who loved to be with family and friends. His wife Sylvia is a good friend of mine and in observing them together I could tell they loved each other very much. My heart goes out to my friend for her loss and I hope her grief will soon turn to remembering all the happy memories of their life together. I wish peace on you my friend, because this may seem like the end , but you will see your love again. - Posted by: Kathy Boushie (Family Friend) on: Feb 15, 2015
