META FENSKE (SEIDEL) July 20, 1920 - February 15, 2015 Peacefully, on Sunday, February 15, 2015, Meta Fenske (Seidel), passed away at her home at Meadowood Manor. Meta was predeceased by her husband Robert (1978); her parents: August (1934) and Adeline (Gutsche) (1986); her two younger brothers, Max (2002) and Alfred (2006). Meta leaves behind, four stepchildren and their families; sisters-in-law, Helga (Max) and Amalia (Alfred); five nephews; four nieces and their families; as well as many cousins in the United States. Meta was born July 20, 1920 in Nova Rudnja, Ukraine (also known as Rudokop - Zhitomir, Volhynia) to August and Adeline (Gutsche) Seidel. Her life's journey was often difficult but throughout her 94 years, her Saviour Jesus Christ protected and blessed her with His presence. Please join us in celebrating Meta's incredible life's journey on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Meadowood Manor Chapel, 577 St. Anne's Road, Winnipeg - viewing at 12:30 p.m. Funeral parking is at the St. Vital Arena, 580 St. Anne's Road. Interment at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meadowood Manor Foundation Inc. in support of the chaplaincy program.
