Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER UNRUH With his family by his side, our dad and Opa entered into the presence of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on March 3, 2015. Dad lived a full life, born on August 18, 1922, in Tiegenhagen, Russia, to Heinrich and Maria Unruh. He was one of nine children and is survived by two sisters, Kaethe Loewen of Winnipeg, Manitoba and Maria Unruh of Russia. Dad met Mom, Herta Bosecke, in Germany after fleeing from Russia and they were married September 10, 1948. Dad was baptized on the confession of his faith as a young adult. He was a member of the Elmwood Mennonite Brethren Church for over 60 years. Dad spent over 20 years as co-owner of Unruh & Loewen Drywall, followed by 11 years as Maintenance Supervisor at MBCI. Dad leaves to mourn his wife of 66 years, Herta; his children Katy (David) Reimer, Helen (Wally) Streilein, Mary Unruh, David (Susan) Unruh and Elizabeth (Rod) Grahn; his grandchildren Jonathan (Kalie) Reimer, Russell (Amber) Reimer, Natalie (Scott) Anderson, Rachel (Jeff) Hamm, Dorothy (Kyle) Brucki, Christopher (Christine) Unruh, Mark Unruh, Heather Unruh, Joel (Bonnie) Grahn, Greg Grahn, Erin (Tyson) Hunt and Mitchell Grahn; his great-grandchildren Molly Jo Reimer, Emmett Reimer, Seth and Max Anderson, Leah, Nicole and Justin Hamm, Jack Unruh, Andrew Grahn, Paul and Isaiah Hunt, Benjamin and Jude Grahn, Arabella and Sawyer Grahn. He was predeceased by his infant son Peter. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Mennonite Brethren Church, 145 Henderson Hwy., with viewing prior to the service. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. If friends desire, donations can be made to Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute or a charity of your choice. FRIENDS FUNERAL SERVICE 204-339-5555
