YVETTE STOSSEL (nee FORTIER) 1926 - 2015 On March 20, 2015 a beautiful sunny morning, the first day of Spring, Yvette passed away peacefully at the age of 88. Mom was truly comforted in knowing she always had loving family at her side. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mariette (Pat), Ronald, Madeleine (Danny), Christine (Dave), Suzanne (Harvey), Laara (Andy), and Paul. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and the many people whose hearts she touched. Loving daughter of Bernadette and Medard Fortier, Yvette is predeceased by her sister Madeleine, brother Yvon, daughter Louise, her husband and soul mate Charles Stossel and first husband and father of her children, Firmin Wyndels. Endlessly caring to the needs of a large family, and extending kindness to all who knew her --- Yvette was a rare gem. Years later in a second marriage, new love and happiness entered Mom's life. With Charlie it was a whole new beginning. They enjoyed nature, travel and simple things... as long as they were together. We are privileged to have had Mom in our lives for so many years and will miss her so very much. Yvette's family would like to thank the amazing staff at Pembina Place Personal Care Home where she resided for the last six months. Mom loved you all, and we know you will miss your 'Dancing Queen'. Likewise, a special thank you to the very caring staff at The Rosewood, Mom's previous residence. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Cropo Funeral Chapel, 204-586-8044

Sue, I was saddened to hear of your Mom's death. I always enjoyed seeing her lovely smile when she and my Mom (Peggy) were residents at Pembina Place together. It was also good to visit with the two of you. We have lost our Moms but will always have our memories. My condolences to all your family. - Posted by: Maureen Monson (Pembina Place friends) on: Mar 24, 2015

Russ and I are sorry to hear of the passing of your dear mother. Even though we never met her she looks like she was a fun-loving and kind person just like you, Chris. Our parents teach us so much that we in turn carry on through our own lives. Your mother, I'm sure was very proud of all her children and their accomplishments. You can be proud that you cared for your mother so compassionately. God rest her soul now until you meet again. I am thinking of all the Wyndels family in their time of loss. It certainly brings back a flood of memories from years ago on Parkville Drive when your family was the neighbourhood hub of activity. Remembrances of your mom, so very busy, caring for all of you. My heartfelt condolences. Scarlett - Posted by: Scarlett Somers Bellingham (Friend) on: Mar 24, 2015
