ANNE HAMM
Born: May 06, 1925
Date of Passing: Mar 29, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE HAMM On the morning of Sunday, March 29, 2015, our beloved mother, Anne Eleanor Hamm, aged 89 years, of Winnipeg, MB, went to be with her Lord and Saviour in heaven. Anne was born May 6, 1925 in Russia, the first of four children to Abram and Maria Dyck. Anne's mother Maria passed away when Anne was seven. She was then blessed with a new mom, Johanna, who gave her six more siblings, making Anne the oldest of ten. Anne grew up on the family farm in Newton Siding, Manitoba. She was a much loved big sister and a great help to her parents. Anne married Martin Hamm in 1948, went on to have six children, and be the best wife and mother possible. She was a wonderful homemaker, who cared for her family with gentleness and patience. She was a fantastic baker, cook, and seamstress, and saw to it that "her man" and kids were well taken care of. As their children married and grandchildren arrived, Anne, together with Martin, worked, played, travelled, loved and laughed, and enjoyed their big family. Anne was predeceased by Martin in May, 2014. She is survived by her children: Walter (Sharon), Betty Wiebe (Bob), Alice Friesen (Ken), Karin Krause (Gene), Peter (Ingrid), Sylvia Hamm (Tony Dyck); grandchildren: Jenn (P.J.), Ana (Brian), Kristie (Graham), Sherry (Tim), David (Daphne), Phil (Julie), Alyson, Paul (Megan), Kari (Ron), Mark (Alyssa), Barry (Cheliza), Erin (Aaron), Carl (Sheri), Ryan (Stacy), Kiera, Lukas (Teresa), Hannah; great grandchildren: Dylan, Sol, Ari, Bella, Madeline, Tyler, Ainsley, Mason, Lukas, Finley, Lauren, Mahina, Evey, Saul, and Laurin. She is also survived by siblings, Peter, Henry, Mary, Jake, Agnes, John, and Fred. Donwood Manor had been Anne's home since 2012. The family thanks the kind and caring staff for the excellent care she received. On Friday, April 3, 2015, at 7:00 p.m., the viewing will be held at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street. On Saturday, April 4, 2015, a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Eastview Community Church, 3500 De Vries Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. A private burial will have taken place. Donations may be made to Donwood Manor in Anne's name. Goodbye to our dear Mom, Grandma, and Oma. We will remember your kind, gentle ways and your love of laughter. You made home the best place to be. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Proverbs 31:28-30.
