As a neighbor and friend for more than 20 years, Ed was one of the most positive and caring individuals that you would ever meet. During the summers, Ed and Helga could almost always be found tending the garden or enjoying the warm summer evenings in their gazebo. With the passing of Helga, Ed put on a brave face but anyone who knew him could see how much he missed her. Now they are together again. Rest in Peace. - Posted by: Mitch and Terry Kolbuck (Neighbour and Friend) on: Apr 21, 2015

Pastor Hamm was always a kind gentle spoken man. I love to hear his services, he spoke from the heart and I would feel that, it would leave you thinking about life and to be thankful for what you have and to help others. He had the warmest smile and the best chuckle. I worked with him for many years at Meadowood Manor it was a privilege to know both Pastor Hamm and his wife. I would meet him on the street years later and he would always ask how my family was doing and remembered them all by name. May he RIP with his lovely wife and may that give you peace as well as your wonderful memories. - Posted by: Josie Davis (co worker from Meadowood Manor) on: Apr 20, 2015

I was so sorry to read about Eddy's death. I remember how he and Helga came to visit my parents in Morden (Mary & Peter Wiebe) and how much they appreciated his kindness. Deepest sympathy to his children, grandchildren and to Ruth, Dave and Harvey. - Posted by: Eileen Krahn (cousin) on: Apr 19, 2015

It was a shock to learn of Eddy's passing. He visited us just 2 years ago in Ottawa and seemed to be in good physical shape though still suffering from the emotional stress of his dear wife's recent demise. He was a childhood buddy, as first cousins often are, although he had to defer to his older brother Dave. We lost contact as we grew up following different family and career paths. I was pleasantly surprised to learn during one of his infrequent visits that he had earned a masters degree in religious studies and had become a padre. I can think of no more deserving or better-suited person for such honours. He was indeed a compassionate and caring man and will be sorely missed by his family and friends and in the community that he served so faithfully. My biggest regret is not having maintained closer contact with him. Rest in peace Eddy - you've earned your reward! Our sincere condolences to his daughter Beryl, his sister Ruth and his remaining brothers Dave and Harvey. - Posted by: Jack & Carmelle Wiebe (Cousin) on: Apr 18, 2015
