I will miss John. He had the most beautiful blue eyes and shaped who I am to this day. Where my parents brought me up in suburbia John offered me the experience of farm life. I was able to handle a gun, what 13 year old boy doesn't want to shoot something? I killed many rocks and branches, telling myself and everyone else, I just missed that Grouse! John was the uncle that every boy needs. His love of all things green was not understood by me at that age but I sure wish I had a speck of his knowledge at this point in my life. John was a very strong man I'm sure it was from his version of Popeye's Spinach that he gained this strength. His Spinach was actually hot peppers, my gawd this man could eat them like "no bodies business". I recall as a boy John and my father drinking beers, and eating hot peppers. Their faces red and my father getting the hiccups from how hot those peppers were. As a boy, I didn't get it? I do now. Thank you John, you will be missed. - Posted by: Stuart Adam (Nephew) on: May 31, 2015
