ANATOLI SIMEONIDIS
Born: Mar 03, 1942
Date of Passing: Apr 25, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANATOLI (ANNA) SIMEONIDIS (nee SPIROPOULOS) March 3, 1942 - April 25, 2015 This kind and loving matriarch left us to join her beloved Konstantinos in Heaven. Anna is survived by her two brothers Xristos and Pavlos (Susan), one sister Koula, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She will be missed dearly by her five children Sammy (Niko), Michael (Tania), Haroula, Taso (Natasha) and Alexandra (John), along with her 10 grandchildren that she was very proud of and loved more than anything - Kosta, Martha, Sofia, Anatoli, Christina, Dimetra, Dimetrios, Nico, Carol-Anatoli and Beniamin-Elias. Anna was born in a small village in Greece. From her meager beginnings in Sipsa, she certainly led an interesting life. She met her love Kosta in that village and from 13 years old, she knew they would be together forever. She eventually married him and followed him to Canada. Beginning in Thompson, then Winnipeg, they finally settled in Morris, Manitoba. She tried to return to her village every year and enjoyed many summers in Greece. She worked very hard in her life, but always with a smile and a kind word. She really loved cooking for people and enjoyed serving them her delicious meals at Santa Lucia. She was a wonderful woman and an inspiration to us all. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 2 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Highway. Anna will return to the village she was born and will be laid to rest beside her husband in Sipsa. Please, instead of flowers, donations made to the Holy Ascension Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated. God saw you getting tired And there was no cure to be So He put His arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me". With tearful eyes we watched you As you slowly slipped away And though we loved you dearly We couldn't make you stay. Your golden heart stopped beating Your tired hands put to rest God broke our hearts to prove to us. He only takes the best. -By Frances and Kathleen Coelho

I just happened upon this obituary, trying to find out more of my family tree. She happens to have the same name as my mother’s maiden name. She sound like she was a very good woman, mother, sister, wife, and friend. I will say a prayer, in her memory. - Posted by: Natalie Doerning (Unknown) on: Aug 11, 2020

I'm so glad to have known Anna. She was always so kind and motherly. Her wonderful soup nursed me through many colds when I worked in the government office above their restaurant on Pembina. My sincere condolences to her family. - Posted by: Laurie Bowman (friend) on: Jun 19, 2015

My sweet ex-mother-in-law Anna what a great woman! She led a hard life but always smiled and gave the best advice. Having you in my life for 13 years was and always will be unforgettable. My mother Claudette Vouriot was deeply saddened by the news and sends much prayers to the family. Now your suffering ends and your happiness begins again reuniting with Kosta in Greece. All my love, Bella and the kids Ameena and Omar - Posted by: Bella Haridy (ex-mother inlaw) on: Apr 29, 2015

Our dad very much enjoyed speaking with her and her husband in Greek. Such conversations were most often loud and filled with joy and laughter. And o that bread that she did bake! Rest in peace Anna! - Posted by: Fred and sandy simeonidis (friends and relativesour) on: Apr 28, 2015
