  • Where do I begin? Mr Barkman was our music director at CFC. He was strict sometimes but had a great attitude and was so great at teaching us. Teaching kids must have been a trial sometimes. Remembered that we had music lessons in the City of Winnipeg hut! That was fun. Please know that we will pray for your family during this hard time of letting go of your dad/husband. • I remember Mr. Barkman trying hammer music appreciation into our dumb heads...He would play the piano and we would all be singing...the one song I do remember was Harbor Lights...Mr. B. was way ahead of his time having to deal with kids like us....I wish I had been smarter so I could have better appreciated his efforts...My deepest sympathy. - Posted by: Chuck Harris (Student in West Kildonan) on: May 02, 2015
