GAIL DOREEN CADE
Born: Apr 21, 1940
Date of Passing: May 04, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGAIL DOREEN CADE (nee LOVE) April 21, 1940 - May 4, 2015 We are saddened to announce the passing of Gail Doreen Cade - a wonderful encourager, and spirit filled woman who passed away suddenly, however peacefully in her home in Winnipeg at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2015. Born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, she was the only child to William (Poppa Ud) and Patricia Love. The family moved to Winnipeg when she was three and she remained there until her passing. She is survived by her daughter Valerie; son Ken (Brenda) and their two sons, Howard and Simon, as well as her former spouse Ken and loving extended family. Gail worked early on in many clerical roles before becoming a homemaker. Later in life she obtained her Master's Degree in Theological Counseling and chose to volunteer at Hope Centre with the Aboriginal Women's Program for many years, even hosting an annual retreat at her cottage each summer for women in need. She was a true champion for others and her encouragement and bright spirit toward others allowed others to feel better about themselves in her presence. With gratitude we acknowledge the staff at the Sturgeon Creek 2 Assisted Living Centre who made Gail's last year a true home and place of welcoming presence. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA, Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter, 3062 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R2K 0Y1. A memorial service will be held in honor of Gail's life 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive. Bardal Funeral Home and Crematorium 843 Sherbrook Street, 204-774-7474 Condolences: www.bardal.ca

Valerie, Kenny, Brenda, Howard, Simon,Uncle Kenny and families...We were very sad to hear of the news that Auntie Gail had passed. I always remember he smile, her twinkling eyes and her laughter...it seems she loved life as she was always laughing and smiling - she gave out great hugs...Although we moved away to Calgary many years ago - whenever I think of Auntie Gail I can see her smiling...She accomplished great things for herself that she should have been proud of as I know you are proud of her but of course her greatest accomplishment was the loving relationships she had with Valerie, Kenny, Brenda and her grandkids - Howard and Simon. She was a great friend to you and a great support that went both ways. We could not be in Winnipeg for the memorial but we have been thinking of you all and Auntie Gail...She will be missed. We love you all... Love Sharon and Steve - Posted by: Sharon Cade (Niece) on: May 30, 2015

Val, Kenny, Brenda, Simon, Howard, Uncle Kenny and Shirley- I'm so sorry about Auntie Gail. All I can see is her big beautiful eyes filled with sparkle when she smiled. She was so good to be around - so full of passion and concern for the human souls she touched everywhere she went. Love and cheer exuded from her and I could feel it far before I got to hug her. I will always be thinking of Auntie Gail and I am truly grateful for the times I have spent with her and all of you. God Bless and I love you guys, you are well in my heart and prayers. Love Karen, Taylor, and Ralph. - Posted by: karen cade (neice) on: May 29, 2015

I was truly shocked to hear of Gail's passing. My heart goes out to Valerie, Kenny & Ken. Your MoM & I had a special relationship. We had lots of laughs & everytime I came to Wpg. we would go for lunch & spend quality time together. Ive been doing a lot of cruising & your Mom was so thrilled about this & wanted to know about all the places Ive been. I talked her just before my trip last Oct. & she was so excited & wished she could be going. We've had so many memories from Jaycettes & Tammy mentioned one of the trips all of us girls went on. It was a blast. I loved her dearly & she will be really missed. To all her family lets celebrate her life & I hope you take comfort in the loving comments from her friends. - Posted by: Joan Parkinson (Friend) on: May 11, 2015

Dear Valerie, Kenny and Ken, so sad to hear about your mom's passing. will always remember her positive attitude, and infectious laughter that kept our Jaccette retreats and meetings so much fun to attend. Will never forget the weekend she drove a mutual friend Joan Parkinson who was now living in Calgary to Victoria beach and we laughed and wined so much Ron had to put us all to bed. something she said a long time ago still resonates with me.. "Mistakes are always forgivable, if one has the courage to admit them" R.I.P. Gail Hugs to you all Tammy - Posted by: tammy and ron macintosh (friend) on: May 09, 2015
