Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANTONIUS (TONY) VAN YPERENBURG February 19, 1934 - May 16, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father / Opa Tony. Tony's life was filled with love from all who knew him. Tony enjoyed 56 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life Johanna (Joanne), together they raised three wonderful children, Fran, Vince, and Liz. He is survived by his family: son Vincent (Allison) and grandchildren Alexander and Ashley; daughter Liz (Jeff Venderbos) and grandchildren Derek and Ty, and grandchildren Nicki and Travis Kirton. Tony was predeceased by his wife Joanne in September 2013, and daughter Fran in 2000. Born in the Netherlands and experiencing the Second World War at a young age made him a strong man throughout his life. Tony met Joanne at a dance hall in Rotterdam and it was love at first site. Tony looked forward to his daily excursion to volunteer at the Good Neighbours Seniors Centre. He was proud to receive the honour of volunteer of the year in 2014. A service to celebrate Tony's life will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at North Kildonan United Church, 174 Pentland Street, Winnipeg. Special thanks to all those who cared for Tony in his time of need. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North Kildonan United Church.
