MARGARET ELIZABETH CARTER On May 17, 2015 Margaret Elizabeth Carter of Winnipeg, Manitoba, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 83 years. Margaret is survived by her sons, Bradley of Winnipeg, and Alex (Ranelle) from Calgary AB; three granddaughters, Tiffany (fiancé John Cipywnyk to be married July 26, 2015), Charmaine, and Miranda Carter all from Calgary, AB; and by nephew, Christopher Bradley and niece, Elizabeth Bradley. Margaret was predeceased by the "love of her life" and husband Arthur Raymond (Ray) (married May 4, 1957 in Highgate, England), by her only sibling, brother, John Alexander Bradley, and by her mother and father Elizabeth and John Bradley. Margaret was born July 21, 1931 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to John Ewart Leroy and Elizabeth Bradley. Margaret was a woman dedicated to loving and caring for her family and to the greater community where she always brought joy and laughter to all she met throughout her life's journey. Margaret had a genuine and kind heart and she lived her life always looking for the positives in people and in life - this was her mantra that she lived by daily and which was infectious. Margaret was a woman of service and was always putting others ahead of herself just as her mother Elizabeth Bradley always did and modelled. Margaret served in many ways at church, most recently at St. John's Presbyterian Church. A deep passion she had was singing and music and was involved with many Church choirs. This love of singing and music was nurtured at a young age by her maternal grandmother Mary Wilson who lived with her at her family's home. Her love of music was shared with her husband Ray and there was always music in the home creating happiness and many fond memories. Many thanks are extended to her friends and to the many health care staff that were so kind and caring of Mum and made such a positive difference to her life. A celebration of her life will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 22 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St., Winnipeg, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, http://www.cancer.ca/en/?region=mb KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-956-2193

Your mom hired me years ago to work with her to help put genealogical records of the United Empire Loyalist Association on a database. I remember visiting with her at the UELA office on Tache Avenue. She was a hoot. We had quite a few laughs. - Posted by: Lesley Gaudry (Friend ) on: Mar 17, 2020

Margaret was an inspiration to all. She was always cheerful and kind no matter her circumstances. I am very privileged to have known her. I will miss our chats and her sense of humour. My deep, deep, sympathies to the family. Grace Shedden - Posted by: karis@mymts.net (friend) on: May 20, 2015
