LEONARD SHEWCHUK June 9, 1941 - May 19, 2015 Peacefully, with his wife at his side, Leonard passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Jean and children: Denise (Shawn), Michael, Sharon (Henry), Allison (Bill) and Steven (Shelly), along with his grandchildren: Quincy, Stacy, Jarrod, Melissa and Leonard. Also left to remember him are his brother Donald, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Leonard was predeceased by his mother, Nellie, father, William and his brother, Frank. Leonard grew up on the family farm in Rossburn, MB. As a young man, Leonard moved to Winnipeg, met his wife Jean and raised their family. Leonard worked in the construction industry until his retirement where he enjoyed spending quiet time at home and caring for his cats: Piddyman, Acky and Benny. Cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME 204-668-3151
