Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERVIN FREUND April 30, 1933 May 28, 2015 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ervin Freund on May 28, 2015. He was predeceased by his parents Gustav and Pauline, four brothers and six sisters. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann; sons Brian and Jeff (Sandra); daughters Lisa and Laurie; grandchildren Joshua (Ashleigh), Erika (Scott), Luke and Nicole; sister Betty Zech; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ervin will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten. The family would like to give personal thanks for the compassion and care received from the staff at Charleswood Care Centre. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

Ervin Freund was a favorite uncle of mine when I was young. I always thought that he was a kind and loving man. In my young child's memory I believe we saw my uncle and his family fairly often when I was a young child. I always looked forward to those visits and they will remain as pleasant memories with me forever. Like many families we drifted apart...However I did have the opportunity to meet up with Uncle Ervin a few times through the years. When his older son played baseball with friends of mine I was surprised to meet him on a few occasions when I too came to watch them play. And then I bumped into him a few times in a family grocery store on my way home from work. It was a reminder to me that my uncle was a family member that so much reminded me of my own father who was no longer there. My sincere condolences to my Aunt Mary Anne, to my cousins Brian, Jeffrey, Lisa, and Laurie and to their families as well. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
