Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAKOB NEUDORF December 24, 1928 - May 31, 2015 Our loving father passed peacefully into Glory with members of his family surrounding him with hugs, kisses and songs in his final hours. Jakob was born on December 24, 1928 in Osterwick, Ukraine. In his teen years he moved to Germany and then as a young man on to Paraguay. On November 25, 1950 he married his sweetheart, Kaethe Klassen. After having their first child, he moved his family to Brazil for a brief period of five years and then finally on to Winnipeg in 1958, which became the family's permanent home. Our father's kind and gentle nature endeared him to all that came in contact with him. He was hard working, fun loving, and easy to talk to. Dad was devoted to his family. He loved going camping with them and later built a cottage for all of us to enjoy. Dad loved his job as a carpenter, working on a variety of construction projects throughout his life. He loved Canada, a country where there was freedom and opportunity to pursue his dreams of a better life for himself, his loving wife, and all his children. Jakob is survived by his children Hildi and Jascha Boge, Erica and Willy Martens, Ursula and Bob Betker, Adiena and Rudy Loewen, Jake and Denise Neudorf, Vic and Barb Neudorf, Ingrid and Tim Hiebert, Harvey Neudorf, and Gwendolyn Penner, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three siblings Erica and Nick Friesen, Leni Neudorf, Albert and Leni Neudorf. Jakob was predeceased by his wife Kaethe in 2006, his parents Jakob and Anna, and his sister Tinchen Klassen. The family would like to express their sincere and heartfelt appreciation to Bethania Personal Care Home for the wonderful care given to our father. He loved you all. We love you Dad and will cherish you forever!!! The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Road with viewing prior to the service.

Mr. Neudorf was such a wonderful man. For the short time he lived next door we had such a great relationship with him, even enjoying a BBQ together. He will truly be missed by many & has left his mark in our hearts. Our deepest condolences to the family as you mourn the loss of your dad/grandpa. We are so sorry to learn of Jake's passing. Since we purchased the cottage that he had built, we have continued to make great memories there. I think it made him very happy, to see someone else enjoying what his family had enjoyed for many years. We were happy to see him when he came on occasion to visit and we will continue to take care of "his place". He was a very gentle and kind man. Sincere Sympathy to all his family, Derrene and Al - Posted by: Derrene and Al (Friends) on: Jun 03, 2015

I'll miss you Opa. Great memories especially last year when I got to take you for a boat ride in my new boat. Watching you drive the boat, I could see the joy on your face and I'm sure you were thinking about when you used to have your boat and driving your kids. - Posted by: JP Boge (Grandson) on: Jun 02, 2015
