Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANIELA (ANGELA) ROGOWY December 19, 1924 - June 2, 2015 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Aniela Rogowy, Babcia, at the Grace Hospital, with her loving family by her side. To cherish her memory are her sons Frank (Bogusia - Bonnie) and Edward; grandchildren: Angela (Louie), Jeanette, James (Jhen), Marianne (Jay), and nine great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by her family in Ukraine and friends in Winnipeg. Aniela was predeceased by her husband Julian in 1987. Born in Krechowice, Poland, she was taken from her family by the Germans in 1942 to work on a farm until after the war in 1945, where she met her husband of over 40 years at a labour camp. They were married in 1946 and Julian was relocated to Red Lake, Ontario to work in the gold mines in 1949. Aniela and their son, Frank, joined him in 1950. They came to Winnipeg in 1956 where she worked in sewing factories, cleaning offices and homes. Mom was a member of Holy Ghost Parish for over 60 years. She became a CWL member and helped with baking and perogy making for special occasions. Mom enjoyed baking, cooking, knitting sweaters and crocheting afghans for the family. She also loved taking trips and visiting with her many friends at the Garden City Mall. Our family would like to express their sincere thanks to Mom's homecare co-ordinator; homecare workers; and the doctors and staff of the 4th floor south at the Grace Hospital for their compassion and caring. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on June 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. preceded by the rosary at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church - 341 Selkirk Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: J. Rogowy, Z. Pindera, L. Esperanzate, J. Krawchuk, J. Esperanzate and J. Lorenzo. Wieczny Odpoczynek Racz Jej Dac, Panie. Cropo Funeral Chapel, 204-586-8044
