We the Evans/ Yevaskewich family would like to say that we were all sorry to hear of Marys passing. I myself (Cynthia Evans) remembered when I was approximately ten years old, living in Sidney B.C. with my parents Helen and Jack Evans, sister Carol, brothers, Jack Jr. and younger brother, Wayne Evans. My parents took me, to Mcdonald Park Rd, campsite. It was there when I first remembering meeting, Mary and John Senkiw. I remembered them both as very nice, friendly people, and never forgot the camping experience while visiting them. It was the first and last time that I would ever be allowed into a travel pull trailer. John and Mary let me go into the two bed, tent trailer. I simply loved it, and never forgot about it even to this day. I always will remember the fun that I had, with what I considered a very loving couple. The about ten, or so years ago, my mom and dad and I visited Winnipeg again. We had the chance to meet Mary, she was living in a condo, overlooking the river. What a nice view she had. Mary was then, and will always be a lovely lady. Just like I had remembered about her and John from when I was young. Mary was very inviting of her time, and place. She showed us her memorabilia, photos, pictures, ornaments, that were all placed perfectly in her cosy, condo. We also went to visit, Eddie, and Paul, and I myself was very impressed with the whole family. Thank you all for making me feel at home, while visiting you all, and being able to re meet you all once again. We will all miss mary, and I am sure you will be stronger as the days go bye. As my father has also passed away, last year, and I know what you are must be going through. I know we will all meet again, as our spirits will reunite. Love from our family, Evans (Yevaskewichs).
