STEVEN ZELINSKI It is with great sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of our dear Dad, Papa and Brother Steve on June 2, 2015. Leaving behind to treasure his memory are his children Shawn, Shannon (Scotty), Samantha (Alex), Sister Teresa, his dear Sharon and especially the joys of his life, his grandchildren Julia, Kaitlyn, Nathan and Jillian who will miss their Papa immensely. Steve also leaves behind his dear lifelong friends. He treasured his time with Morocco Golf week, or a pool night out at Bourbon Street, or just talking on the phone catching up on all the news. Steve will always be remembered for his amazing generous heart. He was predeceased by his parents Steve (2005) and Mary (2009). At Steve's request a private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Steve's memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. "Miss you Big Guy!" CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

Steven and I grew up as little boys in Brooklands and Weston. Our families were always close as was the case in small communities. We attended family functions together at the William Hall, many Grand Beach visits, Christmases and so on. Together Steven and I went for bicycle rides and then eventually on his scooter and motorcycles. We were real good friends. But life happens, I moved away from Winnipeg and families were raised. I never did forget him and promised myself to keep in touch, but sometimes life interferes and that is sad. I truly regret not being able to renew our old friendship, but we will be together again. We were saddened to read of Steve's sudden passing. We lost contact with Steve many years ago by our move away from Winnipeg however we often reminisced about the fun times we had with Steve, Sharon and the kids. Our long term friendship will always be a fond memory for us and our children. Steve will always be remembered for being a kind and generous person, and at times not bad at cards. Rest in peace our friend. Dan, Chris Pona & family. - Posted by: Dan & Chris Pona (Friends) on: Jun 06, 2015

I met Steve at Sears on Inkster, he was always willing to help anyone. We had a common interest my son Ben is Autistic, Steve had Shawn. He was always able to tell me not to worry. Steve knew the best places for lunch and the shortcuts to get there. I lost track of him when I left Sears, I am very sorry for the loss of Steve. - Posted by: Ken Kowaluk (Ex co worker at Sears) on: Jun 06, 2015
