Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE DOLENUK (nee KULBABA) December 9, 1916 - June 21, 2015 Anne passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the age of 98, at East Gate Lodge Personal Care Home in Beausejour. She is survived by her only daughter Margery Stefaniuk and family, sons George (Olga) and family, Maurice (Vicky) and family, John and family, Lenard (Betty) and family and Andy (Maryanne) and family. She was predeceased by her husband Peter, parents Max and Mary Kulbaba, brothers Nick, Mike and Tom, sister Nellie Pleskacz, and son-in-law William Stefaniuk. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, June 27 at 10:00 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour with interment to follow in St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Tyndall, MB. Thank you Mom for all you had done for us, your children - raising us, caring for us and loving us. There are so many memories. I vividly remember you reading to us from the "Winnipeg Free Press Weekly" newspaper. They had stories in one section, stories like Peter Rabbit and Alice in Wonderland. So well I remember the flicker of the lamp as you would read to us. It was also important to you to have us say our Prayers before going to sleep. Anne Dolenuk was my oldest living cousin. She was the oldest grandchild of Tom and Anne Krawchuk who emigrated from the Ukraine with their daughter Mary ( who was Anne's Mother) and their son John who was my Father. I am the youngest grandchild of the late Tom and Anne Krawchuk. Annie Dolenuck always lovingly called herself and me as the "bookends" as we were the oldest and youngest grandchildren of the wonderful people that came to Canada with their children. And so, we are blessed to live in this country. Anne always "made ready" food for Sunday just in case someone visited her. Although she had a very hard life , she survived it all and was a very pleasant lady, always smiling and grate for any visitors .. I have wonderful memories of her.
