HUMBERTO VIVEIROS March 17, 1933 - July 8, 2015 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Humberto Viveiros at the age of 82, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He will be sadly missed by his best friend and wife Luisa, of 53 years. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and two sisters-in-law. He also leaves to mourn his children Ilda and Bert (Diane); grandchildren Brandon, Brayson, Josh, and Abbie; two sisters and three brothers, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews in Winnipeg, British Columbia, Ontario, Brazil, and Portugal. Humberto was born in Capelas, Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal. In his early 20s, he purchased his own dairy business. Soon after he married his wife and started a family. He immigrated to Canada in 1966 where he was employed as a meat cutter and at times worked two full time jobs. Humberto's family always came first; he was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He liked to keep active by taking care of his vegetable garden, keeping his yard well groomed, and making his traditional Portuguese wine. He also enjoyed walking to all his destinations, whether it was doing errands or visiting family and friends. He will be missed by all the people whose lives he touched. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 181 Austin Street N. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. Following the interment a reception will be held at Immaculate Conception Hall. The family would appreciate donations to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation in lieu of flowers. We would also like to thank all the hardworking staff at the St. Boniface Palliative Care. Gone but never forgotten, we love you and will carry you forever in our hearts. 204-586-8044
