  • I remember meeting Eddie when I was a small child going out to our family cabin at Eleanor Lake. My late uncle (Jimmy Ricker) and Ed were friends and we always stopped in to say hi. I remember him very fondly. Condolences to the family. - Posted by: Karen Komar () on: Jul 18, 2015

  • I have known Ed for many years and will truly miss him. He was no doubt in a class by himself. Unfortunately when Ed lost his best friend of 60 years George, he lost a large part of himself. RIP I will miss the stories, the pounding on the table, and all. Don't mess with this Russian. - Posted by: bob walls (friend) on: Jul 17, 2015

  • Travelling to the whiteshell as a kid we picked up wood from Ed for as far as I can remember. I had the pleasure to spend time with him in recent years he showed me and my close friends all over the farm and house and shared many stories about his life. I and my friends always talk about him and made a point to stop and buy wood even know we didint need any just to say hi and listen to his funny humor. Great guy really sorry to hear he is gone . I am 37 years old now I feel like I knew him my whole life . - Posted by: Paul benedictson (Wood customer) on: Jul 17, 2015
