MARY ANNE WOLLMANN Mary Anne Wollmann (nee Sawatzky) passed away peacefully at her home on July 23, 2015, to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Mary Anne was predeceased by her husband of 15 years, Jonathon Wollman, in 1995. She is lovingly remembered by her parents Cornelius and Agnes Sawatzky. She is also survived by her brothers Peter (Nelly), Irvin, John (Carol) and Gordon (Sandy). She will also be remembered by her nieces and nephews Charles, Paul, Larissa (Caleb), Jason (Melani), Jenna (Greg), Kaila, Karl, Kathleen, Martina and George, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Mary Anne was born on April 13, 1954 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Mary Anne spent her formative years growing up in North Kildonan attending Princess Margaret School and River East Collegiate. Mary Anne was baptized in North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church on the confession of her faith in 1968. Following high school, Mary Anne studied science at the University of Manitoba and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1976. Mary Anne started her career with Southland Corporation, the management office for 7-11, in 1976. Southland transferred her to Calgary in 1979 to be the office manager there. Mary Anne and Jon married in 1980 and lived in Calgary until 1990 when they moved back to Winnipeg to be closer with their families. Here, she continued her career with Investors Group and her Certified Management Accountant studies. She received her CMA designation in 2004 and retired from her role as Senior Fund Accountant at Investors Group in 2009. Her supervisors used the words reliable, dependable, diligent, conscientious, strong work ethics and high quality to describe her work. Mary Anne loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. She attended countless soccer and basketball games, dance recitals and Christmas concerts. She also loved playing board games with them after Sunday faspa and taking them to movies. Mary Anne loved the Lord and spent countless hours reading and meditating on scripture. Mary Anne loved this life and because of this love, she prayed without ceasing for a cure to her cancer. Although, the cure didn't come, her faith in God grew exponentially. This increase in faith gave her peace to accept God's sovereign will. Now she is in heaven, rejoicing with Jesus and waiting for us to join her. Mary Anne will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, infectious laugh and love of life. The family wishes to thank CancerCare Manitoba for their excellent, compassionate care. In Mary Anne's memory, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or to The Salvation Army, one of Mary Anne's favourite charities. A celebration of Mary Anne's life will be held on Thursday, July 30 at 11:00 a.m. at North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church, 1315 Gateway Road, Winnipeg.
