DOLORES ELIZABETH FLETT (nee VIPOND) October 13, 1939 - July 24, 2015 Peacefully, with family by her side, after a short stay at the Riverview Health Centre, Dolores went to be with the Lord, on July 24, 2015. Dolores was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 13, 1939. She married her one true love, Warner Flett, on July 20, 1957. Together they enjoyed raising five children, as Dolores spent most of her time caring for them and their home. Dolores was an amazing and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She was always willing to help those in need. Her entire 75 years of life was spent caring for and helping others. She raised her five children and welcomed all their spouses with open arms, as her own. Her beautiful memory will live on through the many generations she has already seen, as well as the many more to come. She leaves behind to mourn, her eldest son Robert (Mary Ann), Darrell (Darlene), Glen (Jeurgen), and daughters Kerri (Steve) and Christie Denomme (Robbie). In addition, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren (Jaron, Robyn, Maxon, Zaira, Gavin, Leslie, Rowen, Kira, Jaydon and Jordyn). She also leaves her mother Margaret Vipond, sister Arlene Burns (John) and brother James Vipond, along with many other close friends and extended family who continued to visit from far and wide during her illness. There are no words that could express the way Dolores could light up a room. Her huge smile and vibrant personality were beyond compare. She was always willing to join in on events and vacations to faraway places with family and friends, venturing to Italy, Dominican, Mexico and many others throughout the past few years. She could fit easily into any crowd, making lasting impressions on all those she came into contact with. She will forever be missed and has left a huge void in the family she created. To her family and everyone who knew her, she exemplified these truths from God's word: Love never gives up, Love cares for others more than itself Love doesn't want what it doesn't have Love doesn't strut Doesn't have a swelled head Doesn't force itself on others Isn't always me first' Doesn't fly off the handle Doesn't keep score of the sins of others Doesn't revel when others grovel Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth Puts up with anything Trusts God Always Always looks for the best Never looks back, but keeps going to the end Love never dies. The family would like to thank the staff of the Health Sciences Centre and Cancer Care Manitoba, as well as River View Health Centre Palliative Care 3 East. All those wanting to pay their respects are invited to a graveside service at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens (4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg) on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-956-2193
