FLORENT GERARD SALTEL 1946 - 2015 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Florent Gerard Saltel. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 69 on July 31, 2015. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Georgette as well as their four children: Dave, Dan, Mandy, and Crystal, and six grandsons: Rene, Justin, Sam, Adam, Lucas and Alex all of whom he was so very proud. He is further survived by his four brothers and six sisters. He was predeceased by his infant daughter Susan and two brothers. Florent was the son of Henry and Albertine Saltel. He was raised in St. Genevieve MB until he moved to Ross MB where he lived for the next 29 years. He worked a variety of construction jobs before owning his own gravel truck company, Saltel and Sons. In 1998, Florent moved to Calgary, AB where he started his own business, Flo's Carpentry. In 2007, he moved back to Manitoba to retire. His family meant everything to him and he took great pride in whatever he did. He will be greatly missed and remain forever in our hearts. The funeral service will be held Friday, August 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB. The burial will follow at St. Genevieve Cemetery, MB.
