Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAUDREY (GUSSIE) DOROTHY WHEELER (nee GEISLER) Audrey passed away on August 3, 2015 in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 87 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Emily and John Geisler; her sisters, Geraldine Geisler, Eleanor (Chris) Hauser, Bernice (Benny) Wendel and her brother Dr. Gordon (Bernice) Geisler. Remembering to forever cherish Audrey's memory are her numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephews and her dear friends. Audrey was born in Winnipeg, MB on March 26, 1928 where she acquired her education and resided, apart from the four-plus years she lived in England. Her working career took her to a number of businesses in both Winnipeg and England. Audrey cared for her sister, Geraldine, for 13 years, after the passing of her mother. Over the years, she volunteered her time at the Harvest Food Bank and Luther Home. Bowling was her passion - she loved socializing with all of her friends and team mates. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all medical and support staff on Floor 5, Unit 2 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Special mention goes to Simone Jones of Kildonan Medical Centre, Bonnie and Ron Merritt and Elaine Garychuck for the assistance and support helping Audrey with doctor appointments, shopping and entertainment - just to mention a few. You have been a Godsend to our family and we will be forever grateful. Cremation has taken place. A service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, August 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg, MB. Reception to follow. I worked with Gussie at Sunrise Industries in the early '60s and thought very highly of her. She was a wonderful person and had a great sense of humor.
