Born: Nov 02, 1931
Date of Passing: Jul 31, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNELIESE FRIEDLE (nee WICH) November 02, 1931 - July 31, 2015 Dedicated wife, devoted mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed by her loving husband Erich, and children: Eberhard (Elizabeth), Andrea (Ron), and Christina (Larry), grandchildren: Anjeanine, Jessica, Elise, Ingrid, Nicholas and Kurtis, and great-grandchildren: Randon and Maya, as well as family in Germany and Australia. After emigrating from Stuttgart with Erich and Eberhard in 1957, Anneliese enthusiastically embraced her new country with the help of supportive friends through Knox United Church. She continued to build friendships throughout her life and cherished them as her Canadian family. Anneliese was passionate about life and approached it with grace and humour; traits which she encouraged in her children. Her penchant for travel spanned five continents. She loved the arts and was an enthusiastic participant, singing in the church choir and volunteering at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. She dressed with flair and was a gifted seamstress, who helped create whimsical costumes for many a ballet dancer. Inspired by nature, a favourite pastime was strolling through the gardens at Assiniboine Park with Erich. Through her work at the Health Sciences Centre, the Eaton's Hearing Aid Centre, and her extensive volunteering, she dedicated herself to the helping professions. She had a soothing touch, an infectious smile, and surrounded herself with music and laughter, much to the delight of her grandchildren. Heartfelt thanks to the residents and staff at Sterling House; the congregation of Grace Bible Church; and the staff of the CancerCare system, for their friendship and support. A special thank you to the excellent staff at Tuxedo Villa and the visitors who brought her comfort during her final months. In Memorandum donations may be made to Grace Bible Church, 366 Oakwood Ave., Winnipeg, R3L 1G1. Condolences can be placed through www.cropo.com CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

I met Annelise while working at CancerCare. We became friends and spent wonderful times together after work. I am saddened by the fact that we did not keep in touch over the years - I thought of her often. She was a wonderful lady and I was proud to have known her. My thoughts are with you. - Posted by: Cathy Belanger (Co-worker) on: Oct 04, 2015

Erich & family, I was truly saddened to hear of Anneliese's passing. Anna was my "German Grandma" at Knox during my time singing with her in the choir. Her laughter was infectious and her smile brought out the sun. Her stories of her time making costumes for the RWB were wonderful to hear and she was so proud of all her family members, speaking of you all with such fondness. Anneliese will be missed by so many. - Posted by: Ashley Sharpe () on: Aug 10, 2015
