Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN PAUL BELANGER October 1, 1958-August 8, 2015 It is with great sadness that suddenly on August 8, 2015, Jean Paul Belanger left us. He was predeceased by his father Walter; brothers Marcel and Sam; sisters Darlene and Gina; daughters Maureen and Tammy. J.P. leaves as behind with grief his loving wife of 27 years, Mildred Catcheway and especially his beautiful little princess Natalie; his sons Elmer, Frankie, Aaron and Cory; daughters Suzanne (Cory), Angela and Melanie (Franklin); brothers-in-law Gordon (Beatrice) and George; sisterin-law Agnes (Rufus). J.P. also leaves behind his mother Marie Belanger; sisters, Shirley and Christine; brothers eight great-grandchildren J.P. will also be missed by his father-in-law Alphonse Catcheway. J.P. used to say "I have more than enough children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to make my own reserve". J.P. was well educated and talented. His intellect was superb. J.P was a decorated soldier. He was a Queen's Guard and served in NATO and was also a mechanical engineer. J.P. was a graduate of Social Worker from the University of Manitoba was also was a graduate of CDI College. As a veteran, J.P. travelled to many countries. J.P. loved music and was an excellent guitar player. J.P. respected Pastor Gilbert Catcheway and had love for all the congregation, who all live in Portage la Prairie. J.P. was very spiritual and had knowledge for his Creator's work, Psalm 83:18. It was a privilege and honour to have known you J.P. You will be truly missed, loved and remembered. We will meet when the resurrections comes. Prayers, Service and Viewing will be on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Cremation to follow.
