Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRYSZARD BOGDAN MEDES It is with great sadness that the family of Ryszard Bogdan Medes, 57, announces his unexpected passing on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at his residence in Winnipeg. Born in Slupsk, Poland on January 12, 1958. He was employed at Brookefield JCI. Ryszard enjoyed fishing, golfing, woodworking and barbecuing. The entire family enjoyed his homemade bread and butter. He will be remembered for his devotedness to his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Katarzyna and Czeslaw; and his sister-in-law Maria. Ryszard is survived by his partner Anna; son Bartek; step-daughter Agatha; brother Jurek; sister Irena (John); nephews, Arek (Chantal) and Tommy (Leanne); cousins, Ewa (Wojtek) and Ashley (Geoffrey); as well as numerous uncles, aunties and cousins in Poland. Prayers will be held Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, August 21 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue with viewing at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you take a moment to hug your parents, siblings, children, grandchildren and friends as time waits for no one. We are so sorry of your loss. Richard will surely be missed. He was the kind of neighbor who was always had a smile and a wave hello. Richard was always ready to lend a hand or help if asked.
