ELSE DYCK Surrounded by her family, Else Dyck, our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt passed away on August 17, 2015 in her 100th year. She was predeceased by her husband Cornelius. Else is mourned by her son Peter (Lydia); grandchildren Oliver Dyck and Monica (Scot) Cooper; great-grandchildren Ben and Grace; niece Elli Wischnewski and her children Ralph (Veronica) and their daughter Matea, Bruno (Gwen) and their daughters Laura and Angela, Cora (David) and their sons Lucas and Angus. She will also be greatly missed by her nieces Anne Bergmann, Annemarie, Ruth and Edith Wiebe. A special thanks to Elli and Annemarie who were her primary caregivers for the past many years; Else very much appreciated their dedicated service. She often said that she could not have done without them. She had a long, eventful life filled with laughter, love and optimism in the face of challenges. There was always a song in her heart and on her lips. At various stages in her active life she worked in a sewing factory, office and as a doctor's receptionist. She loved to travel and spent many hours in her garden. She was never happier than in the company of family and friends and especially the younger members of the Cooper and Wischnewski families. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home, 1045 Concordia Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2K 3S7. A funeral service to celebrate Else's life will be held at First Mennonite Church on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Bardal Funeral Home and Crematorium 843 Sherbrook Street, 204-774-7474 Condolences: www.bardal.ca

I feel very privileged to have known Else for the last year. She has been a wonderful neighbour who was always pleasant and willing to spend time chatting about many things. Her sense of humour and beautiful smile ae going to be part of my memories of Else. Having heard some of the stories of her life, some very tragic, some very uplifting, I have a great deal of respect for this fine lady. I will miss her, yet I can't wish her back. She stated that she was ready to go and didn't want to continue living -- especially since she began having more health issues the last few months. I am thankful to have had Else in my life albeit for a very brief year. - Posted by: Karen Little (Friend from Autumn House) on: Aug 20, 2015
