LEONA LUCIW (NAPORA) With deep sorrow we announce the passing of our mother, Leona, on August 18, 2015 at the Misericordia Care Home. She leaves to mourn her passing, sons Bill and Mike (Cathy), sister Millie, and numerous nephews and nieces. Mom was predeceased by her husband John, daughter-in-law Rose Marie, her parents, and brothers and sisters. Mom was born on April 13, 1919 in Pineridge, MB on the family farm. She married John in 1939 and they raised their sons in Winnipeg. Mom dedicated her life to her family. She was so proud of her garden filled with giant Zinnias and vegetables. She made the best perogies, holopchi, pies and preserves, which she generously gave to family and friends. Funeral Service for Leona will be held on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
