MARGOT LINA RATTAI (nee ROSENBLATT) It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Margot on August 17, 2015 at the Beausejour Hospital. Margot will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Esther Rattai, Helen Muehe, Else Rosenblatt, Harold and Marlene Rattai, Gary and Barb Rattai, and all her nieces, nephews and many good friends. Margot was a very special aunt and great-aunt. We will cherish all the times we've shared over the years and we will truly miss her very much. Margot was born in Berlin, Germany on September 17, 1927. Margot moved to Canada in 1954 and worked in Winnipeg for many years until she met Arvid in August, 1969. Arvid and Margot got married on July 25, 1975. They had 35 wonderful years together, farming and travelling the world and later retiring to Beausejour in 1994. Margot was especially known for the garden flowers and all of her German baking. Margot was predeceased by her loving husband Arvid, her parents Erna Bohrke and Friedrich Muehe, her brothers Heinz Muehe and Egon Rosenblatt, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Alex Rattai, Beatrice and Gordon Hastman, and nephew Michael Muehe. Margot faced her final three months with dignity and much courage. She said instead of crying I want to spend the time I have left remembering the happy life I had. Everyday stories of her life were told to her family and friends. Thank you to all the people who visited Margot in hospital. She really enjoyed and appreciated the time you took to bring her joy! We will remember Margot with much love forever. Thank you to Dr. Van Rensburg and the staff at the Beausejour Hospital for all their care. To honour Margot's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. If family and friends so desire, donations can be made to the Beausejour Hospital TV Fund, Box 1614, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0.
