ANN DE RUITER October 24, 1926 - August 21, 2015 Ann de Ruiter passed into the arms of her Lord and Saviour on Friday, August 21, 2015, at St. Boniface Hospital, with her husband at her side. She had been wheelchair bound since a fall in 2010. She is survived by her husband Neil, sons Ian (Berni) and Darryl (Kristin); daughter Sherry; five grandsons and one granddaughter. Ann was predeceased by her parents, two brothers and three sisters. Ann was born and educated in Holland and became a registered nurse. She came to Canada to visit her brother Dirk in Dauphin, where she met Neil, who became her husband on June 4, 1960. They raised their family and then Ann went back to nursing. After they retired in 1988 they wintered in Texas where they volunteered at the Rio Grande Bible College. A celebration of Ann's life will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 162 Hwy. 52 W, Steinbach, MB with a viewing prior to the service.
