Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLENA SENKO Peacefully, on April 14, 2015, at the age of 95, Lena Senko passed away to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Left to cherish her memory are her son Lorne (Elaine), daughter Margie Stolarchuk, son-in-law Bob Jesson, grandchildren Rhonda (Dean) , Matthew (Amy-Jo), Brent, Tara and Michelle and great grandchildren Branden, Sydney, Gilbert, Bronwen and Nico, sisters Emily Moore, Olive (Ukrainec) Triolet, Marion Hill, Louise Ellis and Hazel Werner, brother-in-law Geoff Mason. She was predeceased by her husband Matthew (1971), daughter Donna Jesson (2015), parents Harry and Dorothea Dutchak, brother Peter and sisters Margaret Senko and Evelyn Mason. Lena was born in the municipality of Silver Creek on August 25, 1919 and was raised on a farm outside Angusville. She married Matthew Senko in 1939 and they later moved to Angusville to raise their three children. In 1972 Lena moved to Winnipeg, where she quickly became very independent, taking a hairdressing course, working out of her apartment and volunteering at CNIB. More recently moving to Lion's Place, then to Lion's Manor, enjoying the various activities offered. Jesus Christ was the basis of Lena's life and her faith remained unwavering throughout her years. She always looked forward to Christian fellowship, was very generous and kind hearted to everyone, and willing to do anything for her family and friends. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved sharing their accomplishments with everyone. The family would like to thank Lion's Manor and Lion's Personal Care Home where Lena received very compassionate care in her final years. Cremation. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Winnipeg.
