FRIEDA UNGER October 1, 1923 - September 13, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Frieda Unger, on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Neil Unger, in 1994, her son Arthur in 2013 and her grandson Russell McNeely in 1998. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughters, Elma (Curtis) and Irene (Ron); grandchildren: Carrie (Pete), Matthew, Joshua and Mitchell (Charity); and three great-grandchildren: Sean, Stephanie and Jordan. Mom was passionate about many things in life, especially music. She was devoted to her family and was a longtime member of the Eastview Community Church. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, reading and board games, especially Scrabble. She loved to cook and many friends and family members benefited from her bountiful meals and awesome dinner parties. Mom spent many hours in her later years playing music with her good friend Hans Rempel, for her own enjoyment and for her neighbours at Kingsford Haus. She will be forever remembered and sadly missed. A special thank you to the staff at Concordia Hospital for the wonderful care given to Mom. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Eastview Community Church, 3500 DeVries Avenue, East St. Paul, MB.
