EDWARD BLAMPY After a brief illness, with family never leaving his side, Ed Blampy peacefully passed away on September 16, 2015. Ed leaves to mourn his wife Ann; children, Doug (Lana), Janice (Tom) and Rob (Sheri); grandchildren, Ian, Robbie, Connor, Justin and Mathew. Ed was a man of simple needs and was happiest when he was with his family and friends or on the golf course. He was a gifted storyteller, holding his audience captive and doubled over in laughter as he told stories, usually involving himself in the most comical of ways. His stories will be carried on as they are told by his children, their children and their children's children. He loved music and although he didn't play himself, his children and grandchildren all have musical talents that brought him extreme pride and joy. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff at Concordia Hospital for their care and compassion during his final days. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street 204-339-5555

Ed was a true gentleman. It was always a pleasure to see Ed show up for his round of golf. I have been out of Manitoba for a long time(and did not work at Pine Ridge since 1993, but I will never forget how kind and funny he was.
