HELEN VERONICA VUCKOVIC September 13, 1950 - September 26, 2015 With family by her side, our beloved mom passed away gracefully at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 65. Helen is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Silvestar; two daughters, Tanya (Shawn) and Gina; brother John (Michele); niece and nephew, Nina and Evan; extended family in Ontario, Poland, and numerous dear friends. Mom was the matriarch of the family, with a knack for making people laugh and being of service to others. She enjoyed travelling with friends and family, cuddling with her pets, playing cards, gardening and attending Mass. Special thanks to all of the friends and family who supported her and visited her daily. Prayers will be said on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. • I am shocked and saddened by the news of Helen's passing. As Luba mentioned, Helen was a natural comedienne. No one could tell a story like Helen - the more outrageous the better - and all with a straight face. I shared in the good times Steve mentioned. We shared some hilarious moments at good old 1300 Ellice and Helen was often in the thick of it. Sending my sincere condolences to her (much cherished) family and friends. - Posted by: Nancy Norris (Co-Worker and former member of Helen's Card Night Girls) on: Oct 01, 2015

  • So terribly saddened to hear about this. Helen was a natural comedian and her sense of humour made the time at work fly by. I especially admired her devotion to her family - you were lucky & blessed to have her. She will be missed. - Posted by: Luba B (Co-worker) on: Oct 01, 2015

  • My sincere condolences to Helen's Family and Friends on her passing. I worked with Helen at MTS in the Purchasing Department for twenty years and she was a fun loving person with a good sense of humour and very kind heart. We had some great times at work and after work at various functions. Will miss and think of her often. BYE OLD FRIEND!!! - Posted by: Steve Vukovich (Co-Worker) on: Oct 01, 2015
