JOHN G. WIENS April 11, 1930 - September 30, 2015 John was called home by his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the St. Pierre Hospital, with his loving wife by his side. We are grieving his absence but we are relieved that his suffering has ended. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Louise Wiens, his wife Nettie, his daughter Debbie, and three sisters. John leaves to mourn his passing: his wife of 17 years, Nettie Froese; two sons, one daughter, two stepdaughters and their families; and one sister. Thanks to the wonderful staff at the St. Pierre Hospital: doctors, Noreen and Mahmood Nasir and Dominque Gagnon NP, and all the nurses. The viewing will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., with a service at 7:30 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 162 Hwy. 52 W., Steinbach, MB. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elim Mennonite Church, 30 Main St., Grunthal, MB. Burial will follow at the Grunthal Cemetery.
