Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT PODOLSKY October 13, 1930 - September 30, 2015 After a lengthy illness, Bob passed away peacefully with Eva, his wife of over 48 years, and his daughter Corinne at his side. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, he will be deeply missed by his children Wayne, Corinne (Carlos), and David (Kathy) and his grandchildren Tristan, Viana, and Clara, as well as many nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his loving son Gary. Born in Sundown, Manitoba, he grew up in a large family and moved to Winnipeg to attend St. Paul's where he earned his high school diploma. In his youth, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and had many different endeavours, including owning a gas station. Bob retired after many years of service at the CNR and also enjoyed farming as a pastime. Dad enjoyed the outdoors and especially enjoyed picking blueberries, cranberries and morels. An avid tinkerer, he enjoyed fixing cars and making things in his garage. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 5 at 9:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 main St. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Victoria Hospital and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

Were very sorry to hear about Bob's passing. We knew Bob very well when he had his farm near Cooks Creek and thoroughly enjoyed his company and good nature, as well as helping each other harvest.
