Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHALLEY (GELSKE) VANNUS (nee HALBESMA) Peacefully, on October 20, 2015, Mom went to join her Lord and Saviour. Mom was born in Bergum, Friesland, The Netherlands on August 8, 1935. She immigrated to Canada in April 1953. Mom married her loving husband on March 28, 1958. They had 57 years together. Left to mourn is her husband John; and her children, Debbie (Albert), Cindy (Mark), Wendy and Jeff; grandchildren, Andrew, Justin, Adrianna and Jared. Mom was predeceased by her sons, Harvey and Kenneth. A memorial service to honour Mom's life will be held on Friday, October 23 at 1:00 p.m. at Providence Reformed Church, 2615 Henderson Highway. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Union Gospel Mission. The family would like to thank the staff on Unit 3 of Seven Oaks Hospital for the care they extended to Mom.

My deepest condolences to the Vannus family. I moved out of home in August of 1979 and had a piece of sponge for a bed and a dresser and some dishes and towels and a few other things.
