MYRON NAZERAVICH
Born: Sep 07, 1933
Date of Passing: Oct 23, 2015
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMYRON NAZERAVICH September 7, 1933 - October 23, 2015 Our family suffered a tremendous loss with the passing of the man we were proud to call Dad, Popsi and Grandpa. Left to cherish Myron's memory are his loving wife Phyllis (nee Mormal); son Garnet (Lynn) Nazeravich, Marissa and Cassie; daughter Tanis (Otto) Kemerle, Joy, Grace and Luke. His presence will also be missed by countless relatives and friends. Myron grew up in a large family outside of Hazelridge. He moved to Winnipeg and married the love of his life Phyllis in June, 1959. Together they shared 56 wonderful years. Myron had a long career, spanning 35 years with Old Dutch Foods, retiring in 1996. He subsequently enjoyed many happy years dancing the night away with Phyllis. They spent many joyful summers at their cottage in Spruce Sands, and wonderful winters in Weslaco, Texas. One of Myron's favourite pastimes was watching sports. He especially enjoyed the Jets, Bombers, Goldeyes, Blue Jays, and curling. Until September of this year, he loved working outdoors, gardening, and riding his John Deere tractor. As many can attest, Myron was always there ready and willing to give a helping hand. We will all miss his humorous nature which was expressed right until the end. We are all sure that Dad is up in heaven keeping everyone smiling. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Komenda and all of the dedicated caregivers at Concordia Hospital N1 South and N1 North who lovingly cared for our dad during his very brief illness. Special thanks to the amazing staff of Mom's home, Concordia Place, for their support that went above and beyond what we could have ever dreamed of. We wish to thank all of the 3rd Floor nurses, especially Patricia Simms, all of the health care aides, particularly Dad's favourite Michelle. To Mom's recreation coordinator Katie Reis, and to Monika Sawatzky, your help was invaluable. Pastor Gerry Derksen, you were truly a blessing from God to us. The memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 29, Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. A private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba in Myron's name. KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-956-2193

Our sincere sympathy Garnet, Lynn, Marissa & Cassie: We have fond memories of good times playing Cards, Sequence and Domino as well as attending Old Time Dances with our special friends Myron and Phyllis. Myron could roar like a lion, but beneath that growl was the gentle, kind, dedicated friend we knew as Myron. Phyllis, along with Tanis & family, and yourselves are in our thoughts and prayers. - Posted by: The Choquettes (Friends) on: Oct 27, 2015
