Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMILY BARNETT (nee GOODMAN) February 20, 1928 - October 16, 2015 Peacefully on October 16, 2015, Emily passed away at the Deer Lodge Centre. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years Malvin (Barney) and grandson Jake Reimer. She is survived by her children, Terry and Lorraine Barnett, Wendy and Joe Boyle, Thora Barnett and Ed Reimer along with eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her sister Soffia Cooney and many nieces and nephews. Emily and Barney had a full and interesting life moving from post to post with the Canadian Forces. Emily loved to entertain, sharing many good times with family and friends. The family would like to thank Jackie Morin and the staff at the Deer Lodge Centre, Unit 4E, for their excellent care and time spent with Emily. In accordance with Emily's wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

I spent the better part of 2 years with Emily & she became a very dear friend. We shared a commonality of knowing the life of a Military Family. She loved to tell stories of her years in Germany & France & I listened eagerly. She adored her family so much & spoke of them often.
