EDWARD MATYJA With sadness the family announces the passing of Edward on October 31, 2015 at 69 years of age. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Babita, daughter Halina (Brian), son Bobby, grandchildren Anastasia and Katerina, along with family in Poland and many friends. A service will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral home, 220 Hespeler Avenue at Henderson Hwy. Interment will be held at a later date.

I first met Edek in 1968 in Poland. I came with my mother who had returned to Poland to visit her family after 33 years. She was Edek's mother's oldest sister. As I live in Waterdown Ontario I was only able to see Edek only a few times since he came to Canada. It is with sorrow that I receive this news. May he rest in peace.
