I was honored to meet Frank in the last year at Lion's Manor during Tuesday sing-a-longs. I was always struck by how his true character shone through in his gentle and kind nature even as he struggled with Alzheimers. He was always a gentleman who said a kind, smiling hello, had a strong handshake and sang along when he could. We would sometimes sing one of his favorite hymns, "Amazing Grace" for him at our sing-a-longs. To Penny and Wade and the rest of the families and friends, may you be consoled as you grieve his loss and are thankful for the rich legacy he gave you. - Posted by: Lydia Penner (Friend) on: Nov 16, 2015

Dear Anne, I was saddened to hear of your loss. I had heard that Frank was no longer living in Pinawa and had been moved to Winnipeg to receive greater care. I fondly remember my father, John Stermscheg, playing chess with Frank, and urging him to make his move. Well, his last move is to a better place, one where he'll no longer suffer, and perhaps he'll finish that chess game with my dad, who also recently passed away. May you and your family find comfort during this time and rely on our Heavenly Father. - Posted by: Robert Stermscheg (Friend) on: Nov 09, 2015
