Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA BEZRUK On Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the age of 91, Anna died peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital. Anna was born in Gatchina, Bolsheya Golpana, Russia on August 15, 1924. At the age of 18 years, she travelled to Germany where she was employed as a nanny; there she met her husband to be, Vasyl. They were married in 1945 and soon after in 1946 they welcomed their one and only child Zina. After the war the family left for England and then in 1953 immigrated to Canada and settled in Winnipeg. The family were active life long members of Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral. Left to lovingly remember Anna are her husband of 70 years Vasyl; daughter Zina Bezruk; granddaughter Chloe and husband Ian Bastian; great-grandson Lane; and sister-in-law Valerie Bezruk. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with viewing one half hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Glen Eden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anna's memory may be made to The Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital.
