Valdene, our sincerest condolences to both you and your family on the tragic loss of Dale. To be sure, Dale was a man of many seasons but most of all he was a man of exemplary faith.I particularly appreciated his sense of humour and willingness to help others. I will never forget a canoe trip with Dale, Dave and our children down the Assiniboine River in late November. Why Dale would pursue such an adventure so late in the season is beyond reasonable explanation - but that was Dale. We put in behind your home on Sheir in the late afternoon. The weather appeared reasonable;however, by the time we had reached Headingly it was dark and ice had started to form on both the river and our paddles. The children were shivering- what to do? Dale spotted a light on shore and assured us that all would be okay. We put in and scrambled toward that light. Dale had no idea where we were and neither did any of us. The people were friendly and the place was warm and we were eventually rescued by our anxious wives. I had other adventures with Dale and most ended in a similar fashion. I cherish them all. Thanks Dale; I know where you are and I'll see you one day. ..Ed - Posted by: Edward Cymbaluk (Friend) on: Nov 24, 2015

My condolences to the family of Dale. Dale always made us laugh at Calvary place. From his glasses with ''springy'' eyeballs, to his right desk drawer full of candy. I also remember the year that Dale was helping to raise donations for the United Way. He had it so that whenever a certain amount of money would be raised, he would cut off a portion of his pants. He eventually ended up wearing a cardboard box as his pants got too short.I remember after Dale retired, my family was waiting in line to see the Titanic display. All of a sudden out of the corner of my eye, I see this fellow frantically waiving, runs out of line and comes and gives me a big hug. We all got a good laugh out of it. Valdine, please accept my heartfelt sympathy to both you and your family. he always spoke fondly of you and of all his children and grandchildren.
