LLOYD BRUNEAU It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lloyd Bruneau, after a short battle with cancer. Lloyd was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on February 19, 1953, to Romeo and Bernice Bruneau. He is survived by his wife Cheryl; sons Dustin (Bowen) and Teague; daughters, Alexis Hamilton and Emmy Hamilton (Kris Rasmussen) and grandsons Diesel and Maverick Rasmussen. Brothers Louis, Robert (Lynnette), Donald (Maggie), Norman (Ivy), and sister Louise (Michael). Also numerous other relatives. He is predeceased by his parents, Romeo and Bernice; brother Romeo and nephew Rodger. Lloyd worked for Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. from 1978 until his retirement in 2011. During that time he worked in Pinawa and Sheridan Park, Mississauga, also overseas in China and Korea. He moved back to Winnipeg in 2013 to be closer to family. Lloyd enjoyed all the family get togethers, and spending time with his grandsons. Traveling and exploring new places was something else he loved to do. Lloyd's passion, however, was the CFL. He was a BC Lions fan for over 50 years. Through his travels to games in various cities, and the internet, he made many lifelong friends. He was the most knowledgeable football fan many of us ever had the pleasure of knowing. There will be no service at this time, but a celebration of his life will take place in late spring. Donations may be made, in his memory, to Riverview Health Centre, One Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4, www.rhcf.ca, or CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg MB R3E 0V9, cancercarefdn.mb.ca.
