IRENE DIONNE (nee DUCHARME) On Sunday, November 22, 2015, after suffering a stroke two days prior, Irene Dionne passed away at St. Boniface Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Bob in 1993 and her parents and siblings. She is survived by her children, Louise (Dave Morgan), Lorraine (Rocky Hovorka), and son Rick (Susan); her grandchildren, Bob Morgan (Debbie), Cory Hovorka, Melissa Hovorka, Tyler Hovorka (Penny), Chantal Dionne (Jon), Marc Dionne (Tess); and six great-grandchildren. Also she will be remembered by her "very best friend" Rita Cherlet. Mom and Dad were married in 1947 and lived in St. Boniface and Windsor Park their entire life. They liked to travel to Hawaii and Florida. When Dad was diagnosed with ALS in 1991 Mom looked after his care until he was admitted to Deer Lodge. In her early years she enjoyed bowling and gardening and was always there to help look after the grandkids. She also enjoyed visits from her great-grandkids. Irene was the last surviving member of both Ducharme and Dionne families. Mom had been a resident of Place Des Meurons for nine and one half years where she made many friends. Our thanks go out to St. Boniface Hospital E.R. department and 6E Medicine Staff, Dr. Junaid, Nurse Danielle, the first responder team and paramedics and her family physician Dr. J. Danais-Brown.
