COLBY ALLAN KEITH MACDONALD 2007 - 2015 On November 26, 2015, in the comfort of his home and surrounded by the love of his family, we lost our Superhero, Colby, and Heaven gained a beautiful angel. Colby changed the lives of his parents, Justin Macdonald and Melissa Fumerton, forever, when he entered this world on June 20, 2007. It was evident early on that Colby was a very special little guy. He had a caring and loving way that captured everyone's heart and when he smiled you were hooked on this boy forever. He had a mischievous nature and you knew when you saw that glint in his eye he was up to something. Colby loved water whether playing in the tub, swimming at the pool or beach, soaking everyone with water guns or just relaxing in the hot tub. He loved school, soccer, hockey and just being around other kids. He loved hanging out with kids and adults alike and in the last few years became quite the video game addict. In April 2014 Colby's wish to go to Disneyworld was granted thanks to the Dream Factory - a very memorable trip. At the age of five, Colby was diagnosed with cancer and our world was turned upside down. But throughout his battle, Colby fought like a little warrior and despite the challenges he faced, he never failed to be worried about everyone else's feelings, demonstrating his loving and caring nature in so many ways. He always had a smile for everyone no matter how bad he was feeling. Colby leaves behind to cherish his memory, his parents, Justin and Melissa, his grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and many friends. In his short eight years on this earth, Colby touched the lives of so many people and left an imprint on their hearts that they will carry forever. He taught us all to be strong, care for others and love unconditionally. Our heartfelt thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Children's Hospital (especially CK5), CancerCare, Palliative Care, our family and friends, including the families and children we have met along this journey. You helped us on this very difficult journey and the caring and compassion we received from all of you will never be forgotten. A celebration of Colby's life will be held on Thursday, December 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel located at 1442 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations would be welcomed to either CancerCare Manitoba (pediatric cancer research) or the Dream Factory. Cropo Funeral Chapel 204-586-8044

  • My memory of Colby is of him as a baby, coming to cheer on our softball games. After all, at least half the team were his family members. Through the years, his auntie Denyne would often speak of Colby, clearly enamoured by his sweet awesomeness. In the past couple of years I learned Colby was an epic fighter, and he had a large crew supporting his fight. It is with deep sadness and great empathy in which I offer my condolences to Colby's parents, his entire family and all who loved him. Rest in peace little Colby♡ - Posted by: Melanie Joss (friend of Colby's auntie Denyne ) on: Nov 30, 2015

  • May wonderful memories and laughter one day replace the sadness you all feel now.
