JOHN GOZDA On November 30, 2015, John Gozda passed away in Winnipeg at the age of 83 years. John is survived by his daughter Denise Riel (Dave Litwin); sons Alan (Dawn) and John (Hali); seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sister Lucy Szewczyk; brother Joe (Dolores); nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; sister Irene, and brother Bill. Dad moved to Canada at the age of five and lived in Sifton. As a young man Dad left home and worked up North. Eventually he settled in Winnipeg and worked at Winnipeg School Division #1 where he retired from. He enjoyed travelling and spending time with his grand and great-grandchildren. He was independent and lived a full and happy life. He will be truly missed and loved by all that knew him. The beauty of family like ours is that some things don't have to be said, they are felt, shown, and most importantly known. We love you Dad and you will always be in our hearts. Rest in peace. The Memorial Service was held on Friday, December 4 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with Father Isidore Dziadyk, OSBM officiating. VICHNAYA PAM'YAT CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

We were very sorry to hear of John's passing and would have loved to attend the memorial. I have known John since I was a young boy in Sifton. We met on occasion after we both moved to Winnipeg and were able to exchange stories.
